ONE KILLED IN JALPAIGURI IN A LAND TUSSLE AT PAHARPUR

Webdesk, TNI Jalpaiguri, 24^th March, 2016: In a gruesome incident of land encroachment fight a man was killed in Jalpaiguri’s Paharpur area yesterday. Another man was also injured in the incident. The deceased person was Lalit Roy (35). The injured was admitted to the Jalpaiguri Sadar Hospital. A woman was arrested in connection with the incident. The witness of the incident said that they heard a quarreling sound in the area. When they rushed to the spot they saw two persons lying down in a pool of blood. One person was seemed to be dead and another was writhing with pain. It was learned that the dead man was accused of illegally encroaching another person’s land. The person, who land encroached, came with men and arms to free his land. A tussle started, which led to the death of Lalit Roy. Police have recovered the body and sent it for post-mortem. The area is tensed since the incident happened.
