GOODWILL OIL RAKE CONSIGNMENT TO BANGLADESH FLAGGED OFF IN SILIGURI

Webdesk, TNI Siliguri, 17th March, 2016: After the last years bilateral talks with Bangladesh and India by the prime minister Narendra Modi, from today the work of sending Goodwill Oil Racks to Bangladesh started from Siliguri. The Goodwill rail rake consignment carrying High-Speed Diesel (Gasoil) will reach Bangladesh with a tentative route i.e. Siliguri-Malda-Singhabad-Rohanpur and finally East Bangladesh (Parbatipur). The total route is around 512 kms. The goodwill rail rake contained consignment for the supply of 2200 MT (2700 KL) HSD of BS III Grade with 350 PPM Sulphur is an outcome of the discussion between the two Governments. The process was inaugurated by the State Minister (Independent Charge) of India Mr. Dharmendra Pradhan. In this occasion, the Darjeeling MP Mr. Surinder Singh Ahluwalia was also present. Both the parliamentarians expressed happiness and hopefulness of the project. They even expressed that soon the feasibility study of an Indo-Bangladesh pipeline will be completed. After that the work of the underground pipeline will be started.
