SILIGURI BHARATNAGAR’S HOUSEWIFE BURNT ALIVE AT HOME

Webdesk, TNI Siliguri, 15th March, 2016: A housewife from Siliguri’s North Bharatnagar was doused in flames allegedly by her husband. The deceased name is Smt. Namita Biswas, a resident of Kokrajhar, Assam. The accused husband Samir Biswas was arrested by Siliguri Police. The incident has created a huge tension in the area because such an incident was not reported in the area in recent times. The couple was married last year only. According to the local sources, the problem cropped up soon after their marriage and neighbors reported that there was not a single day the couple spent without fights. They also reported that from the morning the couple fought but however, after some time there were loud screams of the Namita. People rushed to their rented house and found that she lay on the ground with almost fully burnt. She was rushed to the hospital but was declared brought dead. The written complaint was lodged against the husband Samir Biswas. He was arrested and police had already started the interrogation. The body has been sent for post-mortem at North Bengal Medical College and Hospital.
