BHUTAN TRUCKERS BLOCKS ROAD AT CHANGRABANDHA
TNI News Service (TNS)
Webdesk, TNI Mekhliganj, 14th March, 2016: After complaining the administration several times, the administration didn’t take any action for their rescue. On this allegation, the Truckers staged a road blockade in Changrabandha under Mekhligunj. Many of them are stuck here for 3-4 days for exporting goods to Bangladesh. However, they alleged that some unscrupulous traders are loading goods in local trucks and are easily exporting goods to Bangladesh without any hassles. Henceforth, the Bhutan truckers are facing losses due to such illegal practices. According to the truckers, such a problem had forced them to block the road. Mr. Hemant Sharma, the OC of Mekhliganj Police Station rushed to the spot and assured the agitators for sorting the problem. Soon after the assurance, the truckers lifted the road blockade.
