SILIGURI – NEW COOCHBEHAR DEMU FLAGGED OFF TODAY AT NEW COOCHBEHAR

Webdesk, TNI Coochbehar, 4th March, 2016: Today at morning at around 10 am, the most sought after DEMU Rail services started from Siliguri to New Coochbehar. The route of the train is New Coochbehar to Siliguri Junction via Changrabandha. The first commercial journey would be from tomorrow i.e. Saturday 5:45 am. Today the train was flagged off by the Union Rail Minister Mr. Suresh Prabhu from Rail Bhawan, New Delhi with the help of remote control. The trains i.e. 75713 up and 75714 down DEMU now is open for operation. The dignitaries present on the occasion were Alipurduar DRM Mr. Sanjib Kishor, DCM (Sr) Mr. Sunirmal Sen, DCM Mr. Basanta Das, the MP of Coochbehar Smt. Renuka Sinha and others. The North East Railway’s Alipurduar division DRM Mr. Sanjib Kishor informed the press that the train will ply 6 days a week on the route.
