ILLEGAL JARUL TIMBER SEIZED FROM GAIRKATA TODAY

Webdesk, TNI Gairkata, 01st March, 2016: In a secret tip-off the forest officials of Moraghat Range under Gairkata today seized stolen timber costing more than Rs. 1.5 Lakhs today. Today afternoon, the timbers were seized near Dhupguri Rail station. The raid was carried out under the leadership of the Assistant Conservator of Forest Smt. Nisha Goswami of Moraghat Range Forest. The seized timber belongs from Jarul trees. Smt. Goswami told TNI that the seized timbers were cut down from the Sonakhali Forest cover near Gairkata. She also told that more such raids will be done to stop the timber smugglers of the area.
