FOUNDATION STONE OF SJC’S NEW BUILDING LAID AT NEW TOWNSHIP, SILIGURI

Webdesk, TNI Siliguri, 28^th February, 2016: After a long wait for many years the process had started to initiate. Siliguri Journalist Club, the biggest Journalist association of North Bengal will soon be getting their brand new premises very soon. Today was the foundation stone laying ceremony, which was done by the Honorable MIC NBDD Mr. Gautam Deb at New Township, Kawakhali. This new building will surely usher in a sea change in the professionalism of Journalism from this part of the state. It is expected that the new building will be having the modern hi-tech facilities, required for modern day uptown journalists of Siliguri. For the project 5 Katta land was provided by SJDA in the township along with amount of 20 lakhs was also sanctioned for it. Apart from the minister the other dignitaries in the occasion were the CEO of SJDA Smt. R. Vimala IAS, the President of SJC Mr. Promod Giri, the club Secretary Mr. Angshuman Chakraborty and others.
