TOTO ACCIDENT AT SHIVMANDIR DUE TO PROBABLE WRONG DESIGN

Webdesk, TNI Siliguri, 29th January, 2016: In an alarming incident today at Shivmandir, Siliguri a TOTO (E-Rickshaw)met with an accident while taking a sharp turn near the library building of an educational institution located here. Eyewitnesses told TNI that the TOTO vehicle didn’t collide or slipped while taking the turn rather the vehicle came in a misbalanced condition which the driver could not control and it capsized. During that time, there were 3 passengers in the vehicle who escaped unhurt because the vehicle was not at a high speed. However, the TOTO driver got some minor injuries in his head. He was immediately taken to a local clinic for treatment. No police case was registered. According to the experts, such incidents may rise in Siliguri and adjoining areas due to the entry of crude designs and technologies used in the manufacturing of the TOTO vehicles by some unscrupulous and unlicensed TOTO vehicle makers. These locally designed vehicles are not made scientifically so they met with some unexpected accidents.
