SUSPECTED NEPAL MAOIST ARRESTED FROM KHARIBARI, NEAR SILIGURI

Webdesk, TNI Siliguri, 16th January, 2016: In big success today Kharibari Police arrested a suspected Maoist leader from Nepal named Rajeshwar Limbu in Kharibari near Siliguri. He has been arrested yesterday night in front of a hotel located in the New Market area coming within the Indo-Nepal border. A bike and 900gm Hashish was also recovered from him. After detailed interrogation, it is learned that he has conducted several secret meetings in Siliguri recently. He also said that he is the son of a retired British Gorkha Ex-service person. He was in charge of 12 villages of Nepal under the banner of Nepal Yuva Maoist organization. He is also facing many cases in Nepal. He has been produced in the Siliguri Sub-divisional Court and based on the Judge’s instruction he is taken under Police remand for 4 days.
