Webdesk, TNI Banarhat, 03rd January, 2016: Two tuskers attacked the labor line quarters of Karbala Tea Garden, destroying 6 houses. The elephants came from Reti Forest, which falls under Banarhat Police Station. The attack happened on Saturday night around 11 pm when the families were sleeping. Incidentally, no casualties were there. The affected families accused the forest department of non-functioning against the attack and non-co-operations with the affected people. On the other hand, the forest staff accused the laborers of dumping local liquor in their houses that attract the tuskers. However, the forest Department has assured the families to provide compensation after proper investigation.
