COMMERCE MINISTER ARRIVED AT BAGDOGRA

Webdesk, TNI Siliguri, 03rd January, 2016: Today the Minister of Commerce, Smt. Nirmala Sitaraman, came to Siliguri (Bagdogra) in a 3-day visit for taking stock of the situations in affected Tea Gardens of  North Bengal. According to the sources, the minister will be visiting the closed tea Gardens of Dooars today and tomorrow. Among the gardens she will be visiting it will be Bandapani, Birpara & Denguajhar TGs. Apart from this the tour schedule also has the minister meeting separately with the garden owners, the financial institutions associated with the tea gardens, worker unions, and other stakeholders. This visit is based on the assurance of the Commerce Minister to take note of the current situation prevailing in the closed Tea Gardens in the last session of the Parliament.
