SILIGURI LIKELY TO GET 750 PUBLIC VEHICLE PERMITS BY STATE GOVERNMENT

Webdesk, TNI Siliguri, 29th December, 2015: Siliguri is getting 750 vehicles under the State Government’s ‘Gati Dhara’ scheme. The scheme was outlined in this year’s state budget in February 2015 and approved by the cabinet in August. Under this scheme, Siliguri will be getting 750 subsidized permitted vehicles under which there would be Autorickshaw (Petrol), Maxicab, tourist taxis etc. According, to the member of transport board Mr. Madan Bhattacharya the vehicles, will be on roads by 23rd January 2015. Smaller vehicles will get a subsidy of Rs. 30000/- to 40000/-, while the bigger vehicles will get a subsidy up to Rs. 1 lakh.
