Webdesk, TNI Siliguri (Gulma), 15th December, 2015: Again another elephant died in a gruesome incident. This time it is very near to Siliguri i.e. in between Gulma and Sevoke station. The DMU train between Dinhata and Siliguri collided with the elephant killing the poor creature on spot. The train also got derailed in the impact. After the collision three bogies trampled the elephant then the derailment occurred. However, the incident happened yesterday at around 7 pm but the relief train arrived at 12 pm. The passengers were enraged by such delay. Today morning after the requisite repairs the train services again became normal. The train then reached NJP with the passengers at around 4 am today. Locals alleged that the incident occurred in the mid of the market elephant corridor through which the train was traveling much more than the scheduled speed.
