9TH POUSH MELA TO BE INAUGURATED ON 23RD DECEMBER ‘15

Webdesk, TNI Siliguri, 15th December, 2015: The 9th Uttarbanga Poush Mela is going to be organized at Suryasen Park at Mahakalpally, Siliguri like previous years. It’s one of the refreshing features in this chilling cold for the Siligurians. Basically, the place on the banks of Mahananda is filled with sand yet it doesn’t retard the people to visit it in flocks. As per schedule in the press release issued by the Poush Mela trust, the mela is scheduled to start from 23rd December and will be continued up to 3rd January 2015. The inauguration is slated to be on 23rd December 4:00 pm preceded by a rally from Kanchenjungha Mela Grounds. The chief Guest Swami Binayanandaji Maharaj will then inaugurate the mela. Apart from this the other important personality to be present will be Mr. Manoj Verma, Commissioner, Siliguri Metropolitan Commissionerate.
