MLA AND TEA WORKERS WENT TO MEET THE PRESIDENT FOR RELIEF

Webdesk, TNI Banarhat, 13th December, 2015: Joseph Munda, the MLA from Nagrakata will be meeting the President Pranab Mukherjee on 16th December to discuss and inform him about the grave situation prevailing in the Tea Gardens of Dooars especially those belong to Duncans Group. In this regard, 150 people started their journey towards New Delhi. The team will meet the President on 16th December and on the same day will stage an agitation in front of Jantar Mantar. Mr. Munda told TNI that the tea workers of Duncans group are not getting salary and other benefits. The provident fund of the workers of the group is also not in a proper state. He will put forward this issue to the President so that the Central Government may consider it seriously. Today in 3 trains 150 tea workers along with Mr. Joseph Munda started their journey towards New Delhi.
