By Atish Sen (TNI Banarhat) ~ Edited by R. Subrata (TNI Siliguri)
Webdesk, TNI Banarhat, 06th December, 2015: In yet another incident of tuskers destroying tea worker houses, the tea workers of Kathalguri Tea Estate got their house demolished by a giant tusker. At least 7 houses were smashed by the elephant. The workers alleged that the tea garden management turned deaf ears to their plight. In the last month there were similar incidents occurred in areas like Gendrapara, Banarhat, Totapara, Karbala, Bandapani etc. The elephant attacks remains uncontrollable by the forest workers. Incidentally, the garden has reopened after long shut down. The workers are not getting the full payment regularly. The tea factory is also not operational till now. In such a circumstances the tusker attacks has made the life of the tea workers of Kathalguri tea estate more badly than relief.
