SUPREME COURT REPRESENTATIVE EXPRESS DISPLEASURE ABOUT DOOARS GARDENS

Webdesk, TNI Dooars, 20th November, 2015: The Representative of Supreme Court appointed for Food Security Mr. Pallav Goswami today expressed great displeasure on supervising the condition at Red Bank Tea Estate, Surendranagar T.E and Dharanipur T.E. here today. He talked directly with the Tea workers. The tea workers told about their hardships which they are undergoing. He also examined the conditions at Hospital, Ration systems.
He also expressed discontentment about the monetary support given to the workers because the support is extended only the people over 60 years of age. However, the number is much less than 10% of the total sufferers. Further, according to him workers are devoid of the minimum facilities like health, education for children etc. in those locked out gardens. He said that he will give full report to the Supreme Court after returning back to New Delhi.
