ANOTHER VICTIM IN CHAMURCHI FIRE DIED TODAY

Webdesk, TNI Banarhat, 16th November, 2015: The casualties figured in the Chamurchi fire went upto 4 today. Pradip Roy (17) could not be saved despite best efforts by the local people. Pradip died in a private nursing home at Siliguri. Earlier in fire that broke out at a residential house at Chamurchi claimed two other members of the same family at North Bengal Medical College and Hospital. The villagers took away Pradip and Sujit to a private nursing home in Siliguri. With all the donations and help provided by social organizations, individuals, Banarhat Durga Puja Committee etc. had paid a total of Rs. 99000/- to the deceased family. The nursing home charged around 5 lakhs. Still Rs. 1.5 lakhs is due to the authorities.
