ELEPHANTS SMASHED HOUSES AT GENDRAPARA T.E.

Webdesk, TNI Banarhat, 10th November, 2015: Yesterday night some tuskers smashed 3 houses at Gendrapara Tea Estate of Dooars. In a Bollywood type action, the tuskers went away with bags of rice. Further, there are no street lights so the elephants could not be traced in which direction they went away. Today, morning the Panchayat pradhan Mr. Dhanbahadur Chettri went to examine the situation of the victim families. The forest ranger said to TNI that if the families apply with a proper process to the Forest Department, the department will surely compensate their losses.
