PRE-LOCK OUT AT MUGHALKATA TEA ESTATE AFTER MANAGER ASSAULT

Webdesk, TNI Banarhat, 09th November, 2015: An assistant manager was assaulted today by a garden laborer under a drunken state. It happened in the afternoon hours today. The administration of the garden has declared a pre-lock in the garden citing reasons of insecurity following the incident. The accused laborer was taken into custody by the Police. In an official statement issued by the Tea Garden management said that the Assistant Manager Samarendra Roy didn’t allow the laborer Eshaq Kharia to join the duties because the laborer was in a drunken state. A war of words happened and later the laborer left but returned with a sharp instrument to his bungalow had hacked him. Other labourers caught hold of the Eshaq and were humbled by the crowd. The Asst Manager got deep wounds in his leg. He was shifted to Banarhat Health centre. The Manager of the Garden Mr. Mrigendra Bhattacharya said that such incidents are really unfortunate. The Assistant Secretary Mr. Sanjay Bagchi said to protest such incidents.
