BHUTAN GOVERNMENT BUILDS SHIVA TEMPLE AT SAMSING

Webdesk, TNI Samsing, 25th September, 2015: Bhutan Government, for the first time Bhutan have invested for building a Shiva Temple at Samsing, Bhutan. The total amount invested was Rs. 3 crore. The King of Bhutan has himself supervised to construct the temple. The main aim in constructing a Hindu temple in Bhutan was primarily to attract pilgrim tourist from India and secondly to spread the philosophy of equalism among the Hindu population in Bhutan. A localite named Mr. Karma Uijir told TNI that the temple is constructed in the spot where an old dilapidated temple existed. In the year 2012 The King have sanctioned an amount of Rs. 50 lakhs for renovating the temple but since it was difficult to renovate the temple later the King decided to reconstruct the temple altogether. Yesterday 12 priests from Bhutan and 3 priests from Banaras (India) was called in to inaugurate the temple. Tomorrow i.e. Saturday (26th) the soul induction (Hindu Ritual) ceremony will be organized. After then the temple will become open for the common people.
