SSB TRAINS DOOARS WOMEN IN STITCHING AND EMBROIDERY

Webdesk, TNI Banarhat, 16th September, 2015: The SSB today started a workshop for training the backward women of the bordering areas of Dooars in stitching and sewing for making them economically self-sufficient. In this connection, 20 women from the Banarhat Tea garden area were provided sewing machines by the Falakata SSB. The whole event was organized at Banarhat Dharmasala. The inauguration was done by Sector Head Quarter of Jalpaiguri DIG Mr. Hardayal Singh Gaade. The other dignitaries present were 17 Battalion Commander Mr. Parikshit Bahere, the Area Organizer of Falakata Ms. Amrita Mitra and Director of Dooars Jagaran Sangstha Mr. Victor Basu. The SSB sources said that this program is done based on Central Government Scheme called Border Area Development Program. The main training of sewing and embroidery will be given by a private organization. The main workshop will be started from tomorrow at the office premises of Dooars Jagran.
