Webdesk, TNI Siliguri, 15th September, 2015: All the members of a family of 3 in Leninpur area of Shivmandir, Siliguri was brutally killed by some miscreants today. Only the daughter of the family, who stays at her in-laws, was spared. The incident was discovered by a painter of the house, who came for the painting works in the house. The painting work was carried out at the house for quite some time. Police have started an investigation into the matter which is headed by the Police commissioner Mr. Manoj Verma himself. The body of Mr. Pradip Bardhan, a retired WBSEDCL employee was found in the bathroom. The son Prasenjit, a private company worker and his mother Mrs. Dipti Bardhan were found on the ground floor of the house. Police sources said that another 3-4 paint workers were doing the painting work by staying in the house itself. All of them were missing since then. Mr. Bardhan’s body was splashed with paint after strangulating him. Primary evidence say that valuable were also missing from the wardrobes and lockers of almirahs. Such a dreaded incident have created panic among the residents of the area and Siliguri too because most of the households generally appoint laborers, workers, electricians etc. without knowing the background of them for small works. They stay in the house at that time when most people go to work and no one to protect. The members of the households can become immediate victims to those ill-intentioned people.
