TOTO FACTORIES IN JALPAIGURI RAIDED BY POLICE

Webdesk, TNI Jalpaiguri, 11th September, 2015: The Jalpaiguri District Administration is going to take some stern steps in curbing the illegal manufacturing of TOTO vehicles. In this connection, they have made some sudden raids in at least 3 to 4 such factories at Jalpaiguri. Some instruments and spare parts were also seized from these factories. The residents of the town are revolting the sudden spurt of the toto vehicles. It is estimated that the number of toto vehicle has risen more than 1500 in the town area itself.

The people of Jalpaiguri believe that the main cause of traffic jam has changed from Cycle Rickshaw to the Toto vehicles now. On the other hand, some illegal factories have sprung up in the town making toto vehicle which any proper license or Trade certificate from the RTO. Local sources often complain that there are many franchise counters of many companies, which are functioning in the town. In today’s raid, the members present were Motor Vehicles Inspector Mr. Milton Das and Jalpaiguri Sadar OC (Traffic) Mr. Saikat Bhadra. Mr. Das informed that no factories can manufacture the Toto Vehicle without proper license and certificate issued from the RTO. The District Police Super Mr. Akash Maghoria said that within a short time the official route for the toto vehicles is going to be scheduled in consultation with the transport department.
