ANOTHER TRIPLET BIRTH AT JALPAIGURI HOSPITAL TODAY

Webdesk, TNI Jalpaiguri, 10th September, 2015: A women today gave birth to 3 babies at the afternoon hours at Jalpaiguri District Hospital. The two babies are 2 girl child and 1 male child. The name of the lady who has done such a miracle is Mrs. Tumpa Sen from Saptibari of Mainaguri. Though its a rare incident but such an incident (i.e. delivery of 3 babies at a time) has happened at least 3 times before in the last 10 years in this hospital.

All the babies and the mother are healthy till now. From the hospital sources, it is learned that yesterday the lady was admitted to the hospital. After ultrasonography was done it was diagnosed that there are 3 babies in the womb of the mother and all of them were in healthy condition. The hospital authorities spent no time to arrange to operate the lady. Tody in the afternoon Gynecologist Dr. Asoke Kumar Chakraborty successfully operated and the three babies took their most coveted birth. However, the CMOH Dr. Prakash Mridha said that this is not a rare phenomenon according to medical science. However, the operation is very much crucial. Generally, normal hospital doesn’t have such an infrastructure to operate such critical cases. Dr. Chakraborty said that all the babies are fine and the babies were transferred to the special Neonatal care unit for further observation and acclimatization.
