NOTIFICATION OF SILIGURI MAHAKUMA PARISHAD ELECTION ISSUED

Webdesk, TNI Siliguri, 04th September, 2015: The notification of Siliguri Mahakuma Elections has been declared by the newly appointed SDO of Siliguri Mr. Rajanvir Singh Kapoor yesterday. In a press conference yesterday the SDO said to the press that a unique campaign with cake will be started by the sub-divisional administration. According to the notification under section 42 of the West Bengal Panchayat Election Act, 2003, the date of the election is fixed at 03rd October 2015, which will be starting from 07:00 am and to be continued up to 05:00 pm the same day. In the election, the members elected will be for Gram Panchayat, Panchayat Samitis and Siliguri Mahakuma Parishad in the area of jurisdiction coming to Siliguri Mahakuma Parishad of Darjeeling District. The notification was being issued by the Secretary of West Bengal State Election Commission, Mr. Osman Gani.

Important Dates:

• Last Date of Nomination Filing: 10th September 2015.
• Last Date of Scrutiny of Nomination: 12th September 2015.
• Last Date of Withdrawal of Candidature: 15th September 2015.
• Date of Poll: 03rd October 2015.
• Total Election Process Completion Last Date: 16th October 2015.
