RAILWAY ENGINE DERAILS AT FALAKATA

Webdesk, TNI Falakata, 01^st September, 2015: Yesterday a railway engine got derailed at Falakata Station while bringing the bogies of a goods train. No casualties have been reported. After derailing the engine went forward some distance breaking some of the railway sleepers. The railway traffic stayed disrupted for some time. The 3rd railway track and 2nd platform were closed for the time being. The DCM Alipurduar Alakananda Sarkar told TNI that the engine went for shunting services when the derailment occurred. The investigation is going on.
