BUS ACCIDENT AT RANINAGAR, JALPAIGURI, 1 DEAD, 7 INJURED

Webdesk, TNI Jalpaiguri, 27th August, 2015: A private bus today met with an accident resulting in the death of 1 person and 7 injured. Two of the injured are women. The Incident occurred at the evening today at Raninagar in Siliguri – Jalpaiguri 31D Highway. All the injured travelers were shifted to Jalpaiguri District Hospital. The bus was traveling from Jalpaiguri to Siliguri. Local sources said that the Bus overturned at Cheorapara area on the National Highway while trying to save a bicycle rider on the road. The exact location of the accident spot is Nayanjuli. The dead is the worker of the bus. Soon after the news spread the BSF officials from the nearby Raninagar Camp rushed to the spot and helped the people come out of the bus. Later with the help of the BSF and Jalpaiguri Kotwali Police, the injured were admitted to the District Hospital.
