WEST BENGAL’S FIRST HINDI COLLEGE BUILDING INAUGURATED

Webdesk, TNI Banarhat, 23rd August, 2015: Yesterday the MIC, NBDD Mr. Gautam Deb inaugurated the newly constructed building of the first Hindi College of West Bengal at Banarhat. The dignitaries present in the inauguration program were the State Forest Minister Mr. Binoy Krishna Barman, The MLA of Falakata Mr. Anil Adhikari, MLA of Malbazar Mr. Bulu Chikbaraik, MLA of Nagrakata Mr. Joseph Munda MLA of Alipurduar Mr. Dasrath Tirkey, SDO of Jalpaiguri Smt. Sima Haldar and others. The total cost of the building was around Rs. 6, 38, 13, 751 /-, which comprised of all facilities of a standard college. The total area of the college building is 34985 sq ft. Sources said that from this year permanently the academic activity will be started in this new campus. All the dignitaries spoke on the occasion about the benefits of the Hindi college in this underdeveloped area. The forest Minister assured that his department has a plan to make a Park adjacent to the College campus. Overall, for the people of the Dooars, it’s a dream come true to have their own Hindi College and their warts are not required to go to another district for education and that too in different languages.
