MILD EARTHQUAKE SHOOK NORTH BENGAL IN SUNDAY AFTERNOON

Webdesk, TNI Siliguri, 23rd August, 2015: After a gap of 4 months earthquake returned to the region by shaking the area of North Bengal, East and Central Nepal today i.e. 23rd August 2015 at around 2:32 pm. According to the USGS earthquake tracking reports, the quake magnitude was around 5.0 in the Richter scale. The epicenter was in Namche Bazar near Kodari, Nepal. Just some mild tremors were felt in Siliguri and adjoining areas of the Hilly North Bengal. However, no reports of casualty were reported till now.
