BHANU BHAKT STATUE INAUGURATED AT SILIGURI’S MILAN MORE

Webdesk, TNI Siliguri, 20th August, 2015: Today in the Nepali Bhasha Manyata Diwas a statue of eminent Nepali poet Adhikari Bhanu Bhakta Acharya was today unveiled at Auto stand, Milan More, Siliguri. It was unveiled by Sankar Malakar, the MLA from this region. In his speech, he announced a financial grant from his MLA fund for more development of the area. Literary figure Nar Bahadur Dahal who was today’s chairman spoke on the life of Bhanu Bhakta and suggested to follow the positive path shown by the poet through his poems. Various other guests present today also thanked Jiwan Gautam and Ratna Chapagain who donated land to unveil the statue including Deoraj Brahmin, Uddhav Prasad Sharma, Deepak Neopane, Hemant Gautam, Krishna Basnet, NeopaneShiv Katwal, Roshan Sharma and the entire villagers all members of the Samity who worked hard since last one year to make this event a grant success. Other guests who delivered their speech on the occasion and Nepali Bhasha Manyata Diwas were Gyanendra Khatiwada, Lok Nath Chapagain, P. Arjun, Tulsi Bhattarai, TirNeopreneand others. After the unveiling of the statue Nepali Bhasha Diwas was observed where large numbers of students took part followed by the cultural function till evening.
