SHATABDI EXPRESS CRUSHES 6 IN MALDA TODAY

Webdesk, TNI Malda, 7th August, 2015: 6 people died in a train collision at Harishchandrapur, Malda. In around 7 am today the Howrah-bound Shatabdi express from New Jalpaiguri collided with 6 people, who were crossing the railway track without watching the speeding train coming. Among the dead were 3 children and 3 women according to the sources. The Police super of Malda Mr. Prasun Banerjee said that the main accident site is located at 2 kms away from Raghavpur in Malda district. The police from Harishchandrapur rushed to the spot immediately after getting the shocking information. The railway officials also reached the spot. Till the last reports came in, the bodies were sent for post-mortem.
