DHUPGURI’S BSF JAWAN KILLED IN UDHAMPUR MILITANT ATTACK

Webdesk, TNI Jalpaiguri, 05th August, 2015: The BSF Jawan in Kashmir, who lost his life fighting with the militants hails from Daukimari of Dhupguri under Jalpaiguri district. The name of the slain jawan was Subhendu Roy. jAnother BSF jawan was also killed in the encounter and 8 jawans injured. On the other hand, BSF has killed 2 militants in the tussle. When the news of Subhendu’s death came to Daukimari, the whole environment of the village became heavy. Subhendu came to see his parents and his family in 2 months leave. After spending 1.5 months leave he left for his official duty at Udhampur, Kashmir. The convoy of Jawans was been taken to Srinagar from Jammu. In the middle of the road, the militants attacked the convoy resulting in the death of Subhendu and other Jawan. Subhendu was a jewel of 02 battalions of BSF. He joined the BSF 17 years ago.
