PRIMARY SCHOOL HEADMASTER ARRESTED IN TRAFFICKING REPTILE

Webdesk, TNI Jalpaiguri, 2nd August, 2015: A primary school headmaster was caught by the Forest Department in connection with the illegal trafficking of a rare reptile species called “Flying Dragon”. However, two more people were also arrested in connection with the illegal trafficking of this rare reptile case. On Saturday night the personnel arrested the culprits by laying a fake buyer trap.

Mr. Sanjay Dutta, the ranger of Baikunthapur forest range told TNI that the culprits planned to traffic the rare reptile (brought from Arunachal Pradesh) through Siliguri route. Internationally the cost of this reptile is around Rs. 50000 illegally. The culprits were produced in Jalpaiguri CGM court.
