NOW PUNJAB UNDER TERRORIST ATTACK

Webdesk, TNI Chandigarh, 27th July, 2015: Today morning some suspected terrorists from Kashmir with Army attaire opened fire at a bus and attacked a police station in Gurdaspur district early on Monday killing at least eight persons (till last reports came in). The terrorist believed to have come in a car first opened fire at a moving bus which was coming to Punjab side from Jammu and Kashmir on the Amaritsar-Pathankot highway. Four passengers were injured in it, who have been hospitalised, SSP Gurdaspur Gurpreet Singh said. The attackers, who were wearing Army uniform, then entered the Dinanagar Police Station and also opened fire at the police personnel. Three persons were injured there including Dinanagar SHO Mukhtiar Singh, he said. No one has been taken hostage in the Terrorits attack at Punjab’s Dinanagar town, said union minister Kirren Rijiju today. “Yes there have been reports that there was a terror attack at the Punjab border (town) but as of now there is no information regarding hostages being held. We are looking into it and once I get some more information, I will come out with it,” The minister of state for home affairs also said that “…since the attacks are really serious, we can’t reveal any data as of now as the operation is on”.
