HIGH LEVEL MEETING AT ‘UTTARKANYA’ FOR AH-2 AND AH-48

Webdesk, TNI Siliguri, 27th July, 2015: The MIC NBDD-Mr. Gautam Deb today called in a high-level meeting at Uttarkanya regarding the developments of the ongoing projects of constructing AH-2 (stretching from Fulbari border to Panitanki border) and the AH-48 (stretching from Changrabandha to Pashaka, Bhutan). The members present at the meeting were officials from District administration of Darjeeling and Jalpaiguri as well as the NHAI officials. It is estimated that the total cost of the AH-2 would be around Rs. 600 crores and for AH-48 to Bhutan would cost around Rs. 1000 crore. The compensation packages are now being distributed to the families removed due to land acquisition for resettlement. The total compensation cost is around Rs. 42 crores.
