MIDDAY-MEAL CORRUPTION IN ALIPURDUAR

Webdesk, TNI Alipurduar, 26th July, 2015: Mr. Manoranjan Basak, the Headmaster of Barobisa High School, Alipurduar was previously alleged in the midday meal corruption of the school. All the allegation proves to be true by the investigation of the Kumargram Block Development Officer. For the last 2-3 years, he was reporting false attendance of the students of class 5-8 and showing a false bill of Rs/-2,94,838.85 and the quantity of rice was also fake i.e-9733.450 kg. However, the headmaster, at last, accepts all the proofs against him and agrees to refund the money in the CMDMP bank account in around 48 hours. The secretary of the Managing Committee of the school, the School Inspector helped the B.D.O. in the investigation process. The corrupted headmaster has resigned from his post and agreed to provide the rice soon. The school managing committee will look after all the matter.
