CHEETAH DIES DUE TO DELAY IN RESCUE AT KUNJANAGAR

Webdesk, TNI Falakata, 23rd July, 2015: A full grown female leopard died by falling into a well near Kunjanagar Eco Park of Falakata block. The body of the leopard has been sent for post-mortem. According to the villagers, the leopard fell into the well. The roars of the leopard were heard by the villagers. They immediately informed the Forest Department. However, the forest rescuers came in the morning to rescue it but till then the leopard died by drowning. The villagers alleged that the delay by the forest rescuers led to the death of the big cat. However, the forest department denied those charges.
