TRANSPORT STRIKE WITHDRAWN FROM BALURGHAT
TNI News Service
Webdesk, TNI Jalpaiguri, 20th July, 2015: At last the Dakshin Dinajpur Private Bus owners pulled out their continuous strike that paralyzed the inter-district and local bus service for the last couple of days. The bus & trekker strike started on the last Saturday. Commuters were the most affected during the last two days as no transport were available in the district and Balurghat town. The problem occurred when a new permit was issued without any information to the local transport association. However, yesterday the district administration warned the strikers to face license cancel if the strike continues. Within hours of such declaration, the Bus owners association withdrew their 3-day old strike.
