COOCHBEHAR AND TUFANGANJ CELEBRATED THE EID WITH SOLIDARITY

Webdesk, TNI Tufanganj & Coochbehar, 19th July, 2015: The Holi Id was celebrated in Coochbehar too along with the entire country. The main function was organized by Coochbehar district’s Anjuman -I – Islamia at the Netaji Indoor Stadium. The president of Anjuman Samity, Mr. Mujaffar Hussain informed TNI that around 3000 people participated in the Id namaz yesterday.
Apart from this, the SDO Mr. Bikash Saha was also present on the occasion along with important dignitaries like Mr. Rabindranath Ghosh – Chairman, Forest Development Corporation and others. At the end of the Namaz sweets and fruits and clothes were distributed among the poor. A similar picture was seen at Tufanganj, where the main Namaz was organized at the Tufanganj Town Masjid premises. The total number of participants was around 400.
