About 15 candidates reached the school in Eranhipalam only to be disappointed. By the time the NET aspirants reached their centres, the first test had begun. As it was pointless to attempt the second test without writing the first, many returned disheartened. The dejected candidates plan to file a complaint with the CBSE. As even people who had physical ailments suffered due to the wrong address, a complaint would also be filed with the Human Rights Commission. In Darjeeling district also there were problems in locating centres leading to missing of examinations. Some centres were also reportedly didn’t allow candidates because they came late by 15 mins from the scheduled time of entry. A candidate with the assurance of anonymity said that he was disallowed because he reached the centre at 9:15 am. However, the examination was scheduled to start from 9:30 am. The centre authorities denied his entry because examination admission card marked the entry time as 9:00 am. Interestingly the CBSE authorities had restructured the Examination venues from the previous years and have chosen schools rather than Universities and Colleges.
