FLOOD SITUATION WORSENS AT TUFANGANJ SUB DIVISION VILLAGES

Webdesk, TNI Tufanjanj, 14th June, 2015: Water entered at Deocharai Panchayet area of Tufanganj Subdivision in Coochbehar. The Krishnapur village is mostly affected by the river inflow in the village. From the morning itself the rivers like Kaljaani, Gadadhar and Raidakh were flowing over the danger mark. The local MLA Mr. Rabindranath Ghosh came to the see the condition.
He also handed over tarpaulin and dry food to the affected villagers. Talking to the press he said that “Bamboo levelers were being used for tackling the situation temporarily. When the situation comes under control then the damaged bank of the rivers will be repaired”.
