CII PANEL DISCUSSION OPENS UP OF MORE NB BUSINESS AVENUES

Webdesk, TNI Siliguri, 15th Mar, 2015: The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) North Bengal Zonal Council organized a Panel Discussion entitled ‘North Bengal Prospects and Potentials – Way Forward’ yesterday i.e. 14th March, 2015, 6 PM at Sinclairs Siliguri. Mr. Naresh Agarwal and Mr. Ratan Kumar Bihani have taken up the post of Chairman and Vice Chairman,
CII North Bengal Zonal Council respectively for the year 2015-16. Shri. Kuldeep Singh, IPS, Inspector General, Sashastra Seema Bal, Siliguri, Shri. Rakesh Sahay, Airport Director, Bagdogra, Mr. Jayant Harihar Lal, Executive Director, Sriram Education Trust were present for the Panel Discussion. Shri. Kuldeep Singh spoke on the necessity of hard work and perseverance to become successful entrepreneur. Mr. Jayant Harihar Lal emphasized on change of the education curriculum to nurture the youth and make them industry ready.
Shri . Rakesh Sahay spoke about a number of airport infrastructure improvements that will facilitate tourism in the region. Mr. Naresh Agarwal, Chairman CII North Bengal Zonal Council spoke about the CII initiative for the year 2015-16. He said “CII North Bengal Zonal Council has been and will work closely with the Government on policy advocacy, business development, connecting with society for the industrial development in the region.”
The focus area will be skill intervention, MSME, tourism, bio- entrepreneurship and other ancillary domains. Mr. Prabir Seal Immediate Past Chairman CII North Bengal Zonal Council informed about the initiatives which were undertaken last year. He said “Synergy Gour Banga and North Bengal Industry Meet has created a conducive environment for setting up industries in North Bengal and the entrepreneurs welcomed the initiative encouraging industrial development.” The Panel discussion gave an all round view of North Bengal industrial development through the perspective of the panelists. The meeting was attended by entrepreneurs from the 7 districts of North Bengal.
