DANU MEMORIAL CCC REACHES THE FINALS OF JARAGANI D/N CRICKET

Webdesk, TNI Siliguri, 14th February, 2015: In the first semifinal yesterday Udayan Cricket Academy from Alipurduar shattered its hopes to reach to the finals of 16th All Bengal Day-Night Sub Junior knockout Cricket tournament 2014-15 here in the SMC Ground, Suryanagar. After winning the toss Udayan CA scored only 83 runs to defend against the defending champions.
Except Aman Roy none of the batsman of Udayan CA could manage to score in double figures. Aman also scored only 15 before he was bowled. Highest wicket taker for Shuvajit Moitra MCCC was Rahul Paswan who took 4 wickets. While batting Shuvajit Moitra MCCC took only 8 overs to reach the target with opener Soumya Santa Sarkar and first down batsman Chiranjit Das scoring 23 and 20 runs respectively.
The highlight in the second innings was 31 runs extra given by Udayan CA to the opposition. In the entire tournament the coaches and officials need to look in the matter of the lots of wide’s and no’s being conceded by the juniors may lead with serious consequences in the bowling & fielding techniques of these young cricketers. Shuvajit Moitra (Danu) MCCC thus enters the finals of the tournament to play with the today’s winner of the second semi finals. According to the officials of the tournament the chief guest of the finals is Srivats Goswami the Bengal Team cricketer.
