MINI KNOCKOUT FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT ORGANIZED AT ASHRAMPARA, SILIGURI

Webdesk, TNI Siliguri, 13th September, 2015: A five-sided Mini Knockout Day-Night Football tournament was organized at 14 No. Ward of Siliguri today at Ramkrishna Ground of Ashrampara, Siliguri. Throughout the day there were teams participating with each other and at the end, there were two finalists i.e. Eureka Football Club of Rathkhola, Siliguri and United Sporting Club, Siliguri. Eureka Football Club beat United Sporting Club by 2-1 goals.

The chief guest on this occasion was Mr. Sankar Malakar, MLA Naxalbari. The other guests who were present were Mr. Alok Moitra, the General Secretary of Darjeeling District Congress, Mr. Gouri Sankar Roy Chowdhury and Mr. Raju Das, the Secretary of Block –III of Congress party. The champions receive a cash prize of Rs. 10000, and the Runners Up received a cash prize of Rs. 6000.
