SILIGURI COLLEGE WINS MOCK PARLIAMENTARY COMPETITION

Webdesk, TNI Jalpaiguri, 22^nd Dececember, 2014: An inter-school and college level quiz and mock parliament competition have was held on 20.12.2014 at the Art Gallery Complex of Jalpaiguri. On this occasion, students from different parts of North Bengal such as Malda, Uttar Dinajpur, Dakkhin Dinajpur, Coochbehar came to the city to explore the opportunity. The North Bengal Development Minister Mr. Goutam Deb has inaugurated the program. The event got the visit of many special guests namely, the Forest Minister Mr. Binay Krishna Barman M.P Mr. Bijay Chandra Barman. Siliguri College stood first in the mock parliament competition. The second and third positions were occupied by Balurghat College and ABN Seal College of Coochbehar respectively. It is said that knowledge is power. From this perspective, such initiative is really praiseworthy as it may light up the inquisitive approach of a student’s mind.
