JALPAIGURI SHIVERS IN EARLY WINTER ARRIVAL
By Mousona Paul (TNI Jalpaiguri), Re edited by R. Subrata (TNI Siliguri)
Webdesk, TNI Jalpaiguri, 05th Dec, 2014: Jalpaiguri is now shivering in between 13°C to 16°C. Winter has arrived at Jalpaiguri. Thick dense fog is regularly gripping the early morning hours of Jalpaiguri creating visibility problems for the early morning bus and taxi drivers. This season the winter has embraced the city with a passive leisure. Quilts and blankets are already on for the Jalpaigurians resulting in for an early to bed movement for most of the dwellers. Students are finding it somewhat difficult to adjust in the sudden arrival of the Jalpaiguri winter for reaching to their early morning tuition points. However, the complaints of price rise of the winter vegetable are still on in the vegitable markets of Dinbazar, Beguntary, Kadamtala etc. Though the fresh arrivals from Haldibaari are slowly and gently rising, the price don’t seem to be lessened in comparison to the similar situations and time in the previous years.
