MALNUTRITION DEATHS AT CLOSED TEA GARDENS OF JALPAIGURI

Webdesk, TNI Jalpaiguri, 28th June, 2014: Malnutrition claimed at least six tea labourers in the last six days at a tea garden in West Bengal’s Jalpaiguri district. The SDO of Jalpaiguri Smt. Seema Halder today informed that press about deaths tea workers that have occurred at the closed Raibur tea garden under Rajganj block of the district. She also informed that the district administrate provided the fund required for the last rites of malnutrition death after the victim’s father expressed his inability to perm the last rites of his son because of poverty.
