LAKSHMI PUJA MELA OF COOCHBEHAR GAINING POPULARITY EVERY DAY

Webdesk, Coochbehar TNI , 18^th October, 2016: After the Durga Puja and Lakshmi Puja, Coochbehar is also getting the flavor of Lakshmi Mela in Coochbehar Subdivision. After the end of Lakshmi Puja, some local clubs, and Lakshmi Puja committees organize such kind of Lakshmi Mela, that starts from the Lakshmi Puja day and continue for the next 3 days. Among the organizers of Lakshmi Mela the Vivekananda Club of Coochbehar, Dhangdhingguri Lakshmi Puja Committee of Coochbehar, Nageshwarguri Lakshmi Puja Committee of Coochbehar etc. deserves special mention. Many people especially the villagers come to join the Lakshmi Mela with much enthusiasm. Local shopkeepers also find an opportunity to sell items in this mela. Apart from the selling, there are cultural programs are also performed by the local people like drama, songs, recitations etc. One of the organizers of Vivekananda Club Lakshmi Puja Committee expressed that the growing footfalls in the Lakshmi Puja Melas here are clear indication that the popularity of this mela is rising every day.
