40TH KOLKATA INTERNATIONAL BOOK FAIR INAUGURATED BY CHIEF MINISTER

Webdesk, TNI Kolkata, 26th January, 2016: The Kolkata International Book Fair is all set on the Milan Mela Ground for its 40thjourney. The focal theme this year being Bolivia marks the 50 years of Che Guevara’s struggle against imperialism. Vietnam will be seen participating as the Guest of Honor this time to celebrate their 40th anniversary of Vietnam War. Spain will be the special participant this year for its 60 years of diplomatic relationship with India. The book Fair was inaugurated with number of dignitaries and authors.  Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, Authoress Magela Baudoin, Author Nirendranath Chakraborty, Director of guild Mr. Sudhangshu Dey and other notable personalities were present to glorify the evening. Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s 10 books were launched in this ceremony which includes Amar Pahar, Kathanjali, Biswa Bangla and many others. CESC Sahitya Sanman was given to felicitate author Nirendranath Chakraborty on this occasion. The fair will continue from 27th of January till 7th February, from 11 am till 8 pm.
